FYI, it's not, and essentially it involves running a bit of client-side
JavaScript to allow you to view & control processes running remotely on
Mellen, Wong, Hsiung, and Panguluri's Internet servers somewhere else.

The FAQ points out correctly that the "download" (the client-side
JavaScript) is open source -- a fact that will mislead you, if you're
not paying attention:  "YouOS" is just yet another Web 2.0 AJAX trick 
to get you to turn over your data and data-processing to some strangers.
