Quibble:  It's actually been around for quite a few years, and I have
v. 3.3 Full Edition (2005-04-28) for i386 in my installfest kit.

It's valuable for having all the vendor HD diagnostics in one place, if
nothing else -- plus a whole lot of other hardware utilities.  The HD
diagnostics still tend to be MS-Windows (or at least DOS) -specific;
he obviously couldn't fix that.
