I just checked the Mailman archive, and you're right!  Which is
surprising.

It's been many years, but I infer that Grant's statements to me that I
needed to remove this mailing list because "DVLUG had decided" so must
have been in offlist personal e-mail.

Yes, allegedly channel #dvlug on the libera.chat (formerly freenode.net)
IRC network.  Worth poking into, folks.  

For those who don't have IRC clients, the DVLUG Web site kindly points
out that there's a Web client, here:  https://web.libera.chat/
(It's easy to use.  Try it.)

I just popped into the channel.  User "grantbow_" was the only existing
channel user.  I said "Hi" to Grant, and told him about renewed interest
in DVLUG being discussed on the Mailman list.  (There is no immediate
reply, but that is common on IRC channels with scant activity.)
