Hi Folks,

I'd like to spread the word about a great Linux and Open Source
related event that takes place every year in Sunnyvale called the
Linux Picnic. This year's Picnic will take place on Saturday, August
27. This is a free and open event, and families are welcome to join.

Please marks your calendars and RSVP at http://linuxpicnic.org/

Time: Aug 27, Saturday, 11am-4pm
Location: Baylands Park, Sunnyvale, CA

Add to your Google Calendar: http://goo.gl/hTRPD

The original Linux Picnic was on the 10th anniversary of the Linux
kernel. It was decided since then that Picn*x is to celebrate the
accomplishments of all Open Source Software since the first Linux
kernel was released in August 1991. In past years, this event
typically followed the Linux World Expo at the Moscone Centre in San
Francisco, but as anyone who's been to the "expo" for the last few
years will tell you, times have changed.

The Picnic endures! And Linux's popularity and success have never been
greater, as those on this list surely know.

There will be several tech project demos at the picnic. If your open
source project would like to reserve a table at the picnic, please
visit the following page for further information and instructions:

Volunteers are always welcome to pitch in, considering that this event
is entirely run by volunteers. Donations are never refused, and your
presence is always welcome. For more information on volunteering:

Please feel free to pass on this message to your friends and
FOSS-related groups that might be interested. Looking forward to
seeing you there!

Regards,
Aaditya
