I hadn’t begun to scratch the surface of my objections.

We are *all* going to be paying more for water, more for clean air, more for silence, and more for energy because of some negligible benefits to some small sectors of the economy. That’s effectively a very real tax on all of us, and for what?

IMHO, the *entire* reason LLMs are being funded by venture capitalists is that it is forcing tech companies to put the brakes on climate change mitigation steps they’d been undertaking (that were making things better for all of us).
