My mistake.

I didn't realize rent-seeking is totally okay if it's to make money.

Poor analogies - they're often providers of a service, linking buyers
and sellers who are separated spatially and / or temporally.

For better or worse, acting as middle-men but providing some value;
generally avoidable.

Domain squatters insert themselves between the buyer and seller
and offer zero value, just extract "rent" for nothing.

Some registrars have rules against "Registration in Bad Faith", defined
by, inter alia:

TL;DR:

IANAL, but ask 2 lawyers and likely get four opinions on whether
registering domains to profit from them is allowed.

Unfortunately, the dispute process is so expensive that only clear
trademark infringements are worth pursuing.

Debatable on whether these count as bad faith unless there is a company
called Age Bias Inc. that wants them, who knows?
