An open-source proxy package named Nitter is usually useful in reading
Xitter without Javascript, adverts, or surveillance capitalism.
Unfortunately, Xitter seems to frequently make changes to try to
undermine or break Nitter. At this writing, Xitter video links don't
work at Nitter proxies; everything else is splendid. This has happened
before and Nitter fixed it then.
Changes in the API since the Elongated Muskrat's leveraged takeover have
killed most Nitter proxies, but one, xcancel.com, is proving more
stubborn than most. So:
