I think the OP wanted the LUG to represent the people of Coos Bay, OR,
so I'd think physical meetings would be important. I think the hardest
thing is getting a reliable physical venue in 2024, because the mailing
list and website are trivial.

Online LUGs are great for regions 5 time zones wide. Dual mode meetings
are tricky to make online visitors feel welcome. Conspire does a good
job of this.
