_Or_, of course, I could bend a bit and use the CompuLab's pair of "USB
3.0" ports -- 5 Gbit/s ceiling aka "SuperSpeed USB".  (See specs at:

I'll admit to being something of a bigot against USB for main storage.
My experience suggests it's _in general_ just not reliable, and prone to
a variety of problems.  However, I don't wish to be doctrinaire about
this, and if the long-term best path forward is a pair of NVMe
(future-proofed) SSDs mounted for the time being in some kind of
external enclosure, connected to the CompuLab IntensePC via USB 3.0,
then so be it.

Any recommended hardware?
