We're almost there. I replied:

I appreciate the progress on this matter. This has resulted in
Registrant data now being shown (once again) in public WHOIS for domains
linuxmafia.com and unixmercenary.net .

To complete my request, please also make Admin Contact and Tech Contact
data become shown (once again) in public WHOIS for domains
linuxmafia.com and unixmercenary.net. I gather that this requires
setting those fields to be "disclose on" at the registrar, as well.

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi Rick,

My apologies for the issues faced here.

Both names have now been set to 'disclose on' at the registrar, meaning both now show the WhoIs data.

In short, there is a difference between 'domain privacy' and 'GDPR redaction' - This caused confusion with the support team, as we do not receive many requests to have WhoIs data made public. Ive spoken with the team now, so they understand the issue, and the fix.

My apologies once again here.

Trying to engage someone in CentralNic/IWantMyName management on a
customer-retention issue.

IWantMyName Support claims it's no longer possible to have public WHOIS
on my two domains, claiming Verisign now disables it at the registry
level on all TLDs they run, such as .com and .net . Problem: This
claim is entirely false, as I already proved to Support.

I can easily fix my issue by moving to another registrar, and will do
so soon, if this is not addressed. If I do, I'll encourage fellow senior
sysadmins working in Infosec to likewise avoid your firm.

Please advise, if your firm wants to fix this, and retain my custom.

Organization: If you lived here, you'd be $HOME already.

Sorry to bother you, Chris. I'm a longtime ideegeo d/b/a IWantMyName
customer (since long before the CentralNic acquisition), but am getting
very strange non-help from Support. The Zendesk ticket is 1263265.

I'm hoping you can help me escalate this? My concern is that Support
keeps telling me something provably untrue (that supporedly Verisign
forces private registration at the registry level for all Verisign
TLDs) as a reason Support cannot fix the recent, sudden, and unrequested
switch to private registration on my two domains (a .com and a .net).

I'd rather not have you guys lose me as a customer, but there are
plenty of competitors (starting with Gandi) where friends and colleagues
maintain .com and .net domains with public WHOIS.

(I can send my full interactions with Support, if that is useful.)
