Possibly the different decisions are based on different * availabilities of the different vaccines. * agencies / organizations to distribute and administer the vaccine* perceptions of how the public will  respond
Given that Canada has done relatively well, the so far, their past decisions have been reasonable.

I would like to be there virtually but will be visiting Vancouver, but I have a covid vaccine question if anyone wants to weigh in.. Canada has opted to make only the initial omicron variant vaccine available, starring later this month, not the latest ones with abbreviated testing, like the US. Any thoughts? Will we Canucks feel short-changed in 6 months? It's not like we have not done relatively a lot better so far, measured by covid deaths, in spite of getting vaccines much later, but I wonder if the Canadian government is too cautious in this particular decision. I hope the off topic question is ok.

The homemade pizza went over like gangbusters last month, so I might do
it again, but have several other possibilities, plus a (shocker!)
fresh salad.  And the usual fresh-baked sourdough bread made into garlic
bread in accordance with the hallowed, original Norwegian recipe.

(And, if you don't believe that, I have many other howlers.)

Please come, and, as it said in _Hitchhiker's Guide_, "Share and enjoy."
