At one point there was a security issue that resulted in advertiser
credit cards leaking.

If you have ever given your credit card info to Twitter for anything,
you may need to check with the issuer.
Another security issue might come up if you have any web sites with
embedded Tweets, Twitter "tracking pixels" or "log in with Twitter"
functionality. Best to turn that stuff off before it becomes a problem.
It is pretty easy to convert an embedded text Tweet into a regular
blockquote, but reconnecting users who you can only get logged in with
Twitter might be a bigger project.
