Quoting Nick Moffitt (nick at zork.net):

> Legal Eagle finally delivered a summary of the full story around Twitter:

It's a valuable overview, for reasons including (1) accessibility to
general audiences, and (2) making clear just how _not at all_
according to any master plan this all was -- that, in fact,
Melon Tusk impulsively signed an extremely unwise purchase
contract (meaning, he was too dumb to hire and heed lawyers),
got forced by Delware Chancery Court to _comply_ with that
ruinous contract, and ever since then has been madly trying
to _improvise_ a plan.

Legal Eagle's (Devin James Stone's) point that _at least_ 50% of
advertisers have (already) fled is also worthy of note. We don't
actually know the size and depth of that chest wound. Because of TWTR
having been taken private, to my knowledge there is no longer any
obvious means of visibility into just how thoroughly Melon Tusk has
eviscerated Twitter, Inc.'s revenue model. I.e., unless my recollection
of SEC regulations fails me (which is possible), there will be no more
quarterly 10-Q statements about the state of the company.

So, we don't know exactly in what direction the skyscraper will fall or
exactly when it will fall, or how fast it's crumbling, but those
groaning noises don't seem to be imaginary. We don't know the details
because we're outside the building.

On the bright side, we're outside the building.

Oh, and (3) Mr. Stone's recap ought to be pondered by anyone considering
ever working at a Melon Tusk-managed company -- if only for that passage
at the 16 minute mark covering Tesla, Inc. having tried to fight off a
suit over the Federal WARN Act for an unlawfully executed nationwide
reduction in force by filing a brief claiming retroactively
(paraphrased) "Well, actually, no, that wasn't a layoff, so we didn't
need to give notice. We _fired_ all of those people for cause."

I don't know about you, but I'd peg such management as radioactive, and
stay far away.
