Hmmm, did it reject with a "permanent" failure?
Or, if not "permanent", had it been going on "too long",
that some things in sending MTA queue ended up failing from
eventually being in the queue too long?

I'm thinking *maybe* most "just" got delayed quite a bit,
rather than never making it through.  But again, may depend
on how the email was rejected, and how long in queue, etc.
