The way my associate brought up the topic made me think just as you said.   But when I did some searching, I found the more recent on about Trump beating on Sweden.

But Trump being Trump I wouldn't be surprised if he had made both statements.
My associate sent another message saying certain drugs would cure Covid.  I was preparing a rebuttal.

Back in March, I'm pretty sure Conspire had postings saying these drugs had nasty side effects, like blindness.  Someone else had a case of old fashioned malaria and thought the drugs were almost as bad as the disease.  Fortunately I have not had to go back to find the exact statements.

I also happened to see Dr. Oz talking about the anti-malaria drugs.  He said he would fund the study himself.  Haven't heard any follow up, not that I watch Dr. Oz all that often.

Just did web search.  In March Oz was all over the TV promoting hydroxychloroquine.  He may have been the inspiration behind Trump.  On 4/22 there were several articles about Dr Oz says better to wait for scientific studies.

I found the following link from POTUS about Sweden.  My outspoken associate hasn't had a reply.
Trump says Sweden is paying heavily for not having a lockdown.
