What saddens me about this is having antibody-positive plasma in the pipelines right now would be hella useful.

I'd been trying to find a scary site that I'd seen a week or so ago, and WaPo happened to link to it in the morning email. It's apparently partly what made 45 decide to extend the guidelines to StayInside™ to the end of April.

If you look at the main page, you'll see we'll (US) hit peak usage on April 15 and be 15k ICU beds short (with 33k ICU beds). Which is hella bad, right?

Now go to the New York page. They will hit peak bed usage on April 9 and be 10k ICU beds short. IN NINE DAYS.

There are already 12k+ hospitalized (though ICU beds are not broken out in the state reports) and 237 died there yesterday.

But, we only sent in a hospital ship this morning, and that's only got 1,000 beds.

Now, because I've probably depressed you as much as I've just depressed myself, I haven't shared this before and it's a cover of My Sharona about this whole disease. Ma-ma-ma-my Corona.
