No, wrong.  

It is highly conceivable that there might be a privilege-escalation bug
that can attack part of the boot chain without any general access to
root privilege otherwise.  If the bad guys cannot leverage that bug
because the boot chain is attested and checked, then you are that much
better off.

Ruben, you are arguing system administration with a senior system
administrator.  This is not going to work out well for you.
