IMO, if you don't vote, you don't have a right to complain about the government.

US citizen?  At least 18 years old?  OK, but is your voter registration
current and accurate?  (And have you registered?)

League of Women Voters is offering non-partisan voter registration help
at Menlo Park Library (800 Alma St. @ Ravenswood St.) this coming
Saturday, Jan. 25, from 10am to 2pm.  You should make a point of
re-checking your registration before each election.  The next one coming
up is California's Presidential Primary Election on Tuesday, March 3rd.
(Apologies to subscribers outside California.  Some info for you appears
below.)

The LWV volunteers can help you register, change your registration if
you moved, or update your registration if you've changed your name or
political party preference.

California's registration deadline is 15 calendar days before each
election; in this case MONDAY, FEB. 17th.  The Secretary of State's
Web site has a handy online tool to check your registration, at
https://voterstatus.sos.ca.gov/ .  _Most_ county registrar of voters Web
site do at least that well or better, e.g., the one I use for San Mateo
County:  https://www.smcacre.org/my-election-info (Except, ha ha, it's
on the blink at the moment.)

Nationwide, the Web site for National Association of Secretaries of
State lets you check your registration in _any_ US state:
https://www.nass.org/can-I-vote/voter-registration-status
(It basically takes you to the appropriate Secretary of State Web
page for whichever of the 50 states or DC you say you're registered in.)

I'll be putting together a ballot analysis page for the March 3rd
election linked off http://linuxmafia.com/~rick/vote.html , but it
doesn't exist yet.
