There are some good small office "AIO" devices out
there.

Our family has an HP LaserJet 3055, which is, as
far as I can tell, a solid low-end b+w laser printer
with a decent scanner/copier and fax device on it.
There's an Ethernet connection for network printing,
and it's a real PostScript printer. No complaints
about the scanning, faxing, or copying, and the
laser print quality is up to usual HP standards.
Doesn't jam, works with Linux with no drama, would
buy another.

It wasn't especially cheap or small, but I'd rather
have infrequent toner cartridge changes than have
the inkjet ink monkey on my back.
