I've found that if you look with a critical eye through Craigslist
adverts, you can pretty much always find a good-quality relatively
recent model monochome laser printer for similar prices.  By 'good
quality', I mean a model that's not Windows-dependent on grounds of
omitted printer circuitry or otherwise crippled at the hardware level.
