FWIW, I don't even _like_ the AJAX crap they use.  Any local effort,
suggested by a semi-functional bit of demonstration code from Tony
Godshall (for which, my thanks) would be simpler and cleaner.

The last time this discussion came up was July 2009.  Please read the
thread so that we don't have to painfully worth through the same errors.
