[conspire] CABAL meeting tomorrow

There is 100% chance of a CABAL meeting this weekend.  There is also
about 99.9% chance of rain, all weekend long.  Somehow, we make these 
things coexist.  (We will be indoors.)

Ultimate Boot CD is a very cool set of DOS-based (with a couple of DOSes
provided utilities to fix damned near every system-maintenance problem.
We had need of my copy last CABAL meeting for a visiting machine,
but it would have been better to have a recent version.  So, now I do.

"pmagic" is Parted Magic.  'Parted Magic is a small live CD/USB/PXE with
its elemental purpose being to partition hard drives. Although GParted
and Parted are the main programs, the CD/USB also offers other
applications, such as Partition Image, TestDisk, fdisk, sfdisk, dd,
ddrescue, etc.'

LinuxMint PPC is something I recently discussed.

Ubuntu, Xubuntu, Kubuntu, and Lubuntu (here in their new v. 10.10 aka
Maverick Meercat releases) should be familiar to all.


I've also started a download of the i686 recent release of 'Ultimate
Edition 2.8', which is an Ubuntu DVD (in this case, latest Ubuntu) with
lots of extra candy ('extra applications, media codecs and hardware
drivers').

People who say they want Ubuntu because it furnishes absolutely
everything in an allegedly optimally user-friendly parcel should
logically like that thing even more, nei?  I may or may not complete
download in time, though.
