A lot of people do like Sonic.net. I note some past labour
turmoil, as linked from the Linuxmafia.com front page juicebox
as anchor text "Sonic.net". That was a decade back, but raises
questions about management. You be the judge.

My friend Duncan MacKinnon in San Francisco has recently jumped ship
from DSL Extreme on account of unreliable service -- for Sonic.net, as it
turns out. No idea if his experience highlights any sort of pattern.

I personally really continue to like Raw Bandwidth Communications,
http://www.rawbandwidth.com/ . That's Mike Durkin's operation, and he's
really fanatical about quality. You can practically imagine the steam
coming off his head on the rare occasions when SBC shoots his customers
in the foot and he has to beat up on that firm to get something fixed.
One wants to tell Mike "Dude, don't sweat it so much. It's OK."

CABAL is indeed this coming Saturday. Dates in calendar are closer than
they appear!

Since it will be International Pi Day (3.14), I'm intending to bake some
pies, which of course will be served starting at 1:59 PM and 26.5 seconds.
Roughly.

Attendees are encouraged to be irrational, but not complex or imaginary.

I'll see about getting PCLinuxOS 2009.1, just out today.
Already here:
