Since my much-used Sony DVD/CD burner died a couple of night ago, I've
acquired a nice little model Pioneer BDR-2203 Blu-Ray / DVD / CD SATA burner
capable of writing all available formats, pretty quickly, up to
dual-layer BD-R & BD-RE discs (50 gigabytes/disc).

I've mounted it in a Vantec NexStart NST-520SU External 5.25" SATA
enclosure with USB and E-SATA external connectors.

Both seem to have quality engineering and construction, so I recommend
them. (I've had good luck with Pioneer optical drives, generally.)

The drive is, right now, busy writing various Fedora installable and
Live CD images, and so on. I'll have it at the CABAL meeting.
