I'm on Xubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala. I have no ~/.digrc. Anyway, +noshort
does not lengthen the +trace dig in my case. I wonder what is causing
this to be so short?

(no cigar with +trace)

roger at a:~$ dig bbc.co.uk @ +trace +noshort

; <<>> DiG 9.6.1-P2 <<>> bbc.co.uk @ +trace +noshort
;; global options: +cmd
;; Received 12 bytes from in 0 ms

(but without +trace seems to work fine)

roger at a:~$ dig bbc.co.uk @ +noshort

; <<>> DiG 9.6.1-P2 <<>> bbc.co.uk @ +noshort
;; global options: +cmd

I tried the above both through (to my local Unbound
instance) and through (to router to ISP) and also as
"sudo", all to same cryptic result when using +trace but fine without

Not a big deal, but a puzzler.
