prepend is a clever way to do it,
but if one want to make sure the dhcp client will not add any 
information in resolv.conf,
in /etc/dhcp3/dhclient.conf remove in the "request" the parameter 
"domain-name-servers", therefore the client will not request any domain 
name server from the DHCP server.
