[conspire] How to create a live CD from a Ubuntu9.04 iso file?

I burned a boot-able mirror image form the iso file. In other words I can install Ubuntu on my HD but NOT run Ubuntu from the CD.
I have been using brasero, maybe there is better one there that I don't know about it.
If I need to download again what kind of file I sould be looking from the lists. The last time I used UCSB, is there a local faster one?
