Like this:
$ cat /etc/redhat-release
CentOS release 5.2 (Final)
$

If you're on a 5.x release now, then: "yum upgrade". That should do
it. You'll want to reboot to complete the process.
If you're on 4.x or (heaven forbid) earlier, then there's no such
upgrade path.
