Well done, sir!  ...along those lines; I've applied many a patch
(thousands probably) over the years; it's always been an question to
me, though... how much to trust the "intelligent offset recalculation"
stuff in there; sometimes it hits disturbing false positives.

...not often but when it does it really screws the particular pooch,
so to speak.
Patch is... both useful and potentially disturbingly inappropriate
(for some environments) at the same time.  ...it's a knife that's
sharp on both sides, so to speak.
