Yes, after a while it resolved.
Yes, the mis-match of NS servers is broken. They both answer
questions for the domain, so thing still work, but it's ugly.
Yes, that's what I was trying to figure out -- why my name server had
the right NS servers listed, yet wouldn't resolve the A record.
Yet, when asking the name server directly (e.g. @ns2.dreamhost.com) it
would response. So, I was wondering if bind was doing some negative
caching. My name server doesn't use any forwarders so queries the
names servers directly.
I suspect a better question for the Bind list. Of course, it's sunny
now and the roof leak appears to have fixed itself. ;)
