thanks peter i did 
emerge -av vim
in case you wanna work on this sabayon in future along with vmware-player and 915resolution to get my lcd at its 1280x800 .
hope i did enough extras 4 it all to work on reboot
then ill test the yoper that communicates now and hopefully will get sound on yoper soon . May rig a usb to do puppy a tiny fast distro that drains little laptop juice .
