[conspire] questions regarding required services and packages to use dsl

I'm planning on getting dslExtreme since it is less expensive
than my current dial-up ISP provider - Earthlink.

I want to make sure I have services running and packages
installed to support using dsl on my VA Linux 420 computer.

Attached is a text listing of the services and whether they are
set to start at boot or not.

Here are the dhcp packages I have installed:
# rpm -qa | grep -i dhc
dhcpv6_client-0.10-8
dhclient-3.0.1-11

Here are the dhcp packages available for update:
dhclient.i386 7:3.0.1-44_FC3 legacy-updates
dhcpv6_client.i386 0.10-14_FC3 legacy-updates

Here is what yum reports about installed and available dhcp
packages:

dhclient.i386 7:3.0.1-11 installed
dhcpv6_client.i386 0.10-8 installed
dhclient.i386 7:3.0.1-44_FC3 legacy-updates
dhcp.i386 7:3.0.1-44_FC3 legacy-updates
dhcp-debuginfo.i386 7:3.0.1-44_FC3 updates-released
dhcp-devel.i386 7:3.0.1-44_FC3 legacy-updates
dhcpdump.i386 1.6-1.1.fc3.rf dag
dhcping.i386 1.2-2.1.fc3.rf dag
dhcpv6.i386 0.10-14_FC3 legacy-updates
dhcpv6-debuginfo.i386 0.10-14_FC3 updates-released
dhcpv6_client.i386 0.10-14_FC3 legacy-updates

I'm using the 2.6.9-1.667 kernel on Fedora Core 3.

Can someone suggest what to search on Google for services I need
running for dsl?

Can someone suggest what to search on Google for information on
what packages I need on my system to use?

I haven't seemed to choose the correct search strings on
Google.

Thank you for any/all assistance,

Darlene
