Actually I'll be heading back to SF to meet my wife...
Caltrain or Samtrans is fine.

Took Caltrain last weekend to SJ with bikes... fairly
civilized.  Schedule is easy too... leaves SF or SJ every
hour on the hour.  But doesn't run often.
