Hi All,                                                                         

A few weeks ago I posted a message requesting info on a solution to
convert pcl to pdf. There didn't seem to be any GNU licensed software
available. Only commercial solutions that ranged between $1000 per year
per server, or $1250 per server - up to 20 users. And that's in US
Dollars.                                                                        

After much searching, I have finally found an entirely satisfatory
solution.

ghostPCL is the tool for the job. Is about a 10 meg download - and
that's just the source code. No binaries are available. Make sure you
have loaded up the devel package for X11R6  (source files) as it needs
these during the compile.         

Runs from command line or can show results on X11 screen.  Great for
automated scripting.  Convets pcl to pdf in one step.  Resultant pdf is
great. Converts images perfectly as well has the search for text
function working - so it's not just a giant BMP.                           

I hope this may get someone else out of a spot.
