Daily reminder utility, right? One of these might suffice: http://it.geocities.com/fnt400/diarem.html http://fly.srk.fer.hr/~nix/Birthday/ http://www.roaringpenguin.com/remind/ Found them by entering Freshmeat and searching for "reminder". ("Daily reminder" didn't yield useful results.) I've not used any of them, but they might be worth a shot. A lot of these things are coded in PHP/MySQL for the Web. Having to-do reminders at the console prompt seems quite obvious now that you mention it, but obviously not flashy enough for many people. ;-> -- Cheers, There are only 10 types of people in this world -- Rick Moen those who understand binary arithmetic and those who don't. rick@linuxmafia.com To: Gavin Costello cc: Irish Linux Users From: Paul Mc Auley Date: Tue, 16 Jul 2002 14:43:14 +0100 Subject: [ILUG] Re: calendar for console On Tue, 16 Jul 2002 14:12:31 +0000 Gavin Costello wrote: | Anyone know of a console based calendar program, say that could be queried at | login(i.e. before starting X) for that days tasks? ical! ftp://ftp.lcs.mit.edu/pub/sanjay/ Shame it's not maintained anymore, but ical has a CLI interface as well as the TK one.
