APPEARANCE: Tallish, has muscle definition, but isn't muscle-bound.  
	 Shoulder-length, dark, swishy hair.  Grey eyes.  Pointy ears.  
	 Generally clean and well-dressed.  Wears dangly silver earring w/ 
	 small sapphire in middle, and three beads (obsidian, turquoise, 
	 obsidian) on top.  Tattoo on back (right shoulder blade) of a crane, 
	 done in curly Celtic style, in green-blue ink 
	 (that's his bard tattoo). Very wide mouth. Looks like late-60s real MJ.

FAMILY BACKGROUND: Mother--Yuna Jagger. The Jagger clan breeds horses,
     lives on the plains of northern Alfheim (although the Elves don't
     call it that). Father--Deva of the clan Finvarra, aka Deva
     Silverhand. Deva is a bard. Siblings--step brother Stalel Jagger (son of
      Nigel Jagger), Maeve of the Clan Ulsta (daughter of
     Deva Finvarra and Marial Ulsta), and, unknown to anybody, Aethan
     Gervasi (half-human son of Deva Finvarra and Alicia Barbara
     Elissar Gervasi). [Alicia was the mother of Dain, who had an
     illegitimate (by human standards) son by a Elfish bard.Since
     Alicia is dead, and her affair with Deva ended before she knew
     she was pregnant, nobody knows that Aethan is not the son of
     Alicia's husband, Alfonse Gervasi. You can read all about that
     family in Dain's character history.]

LIFE STORY:

Mick was raised in his mother's clan, learning all about horses. He
felt that his destiny did not lie on a horse ranch, though, and
followed in his father's footsteps, becoming a bard.

Becoming a Bard:

Mick studied the bardly arts at the Bardic College of the Rock, the Bard 
college of the Western Elves.  (The most famous Elfish bard, Presleigh, was 
a member of the Bards of the Rock.)  After studying in the College, 
prospective bards must travel with a full bard for a time (this is kinda 
like grad school).  Mick travelled with his father, Deva Silverhand (a very 
highly-respected bard in the West).  This gave him a real chance to get to 
know his da, who didn't hang around the ranch much when Mick was a kiddo.  
They developed a good relationship.

Ziggy Stardust:

After becoming a full bard, Mick travelled around, doing bardly
things. At a rock festival/bard convention, he met David (stage name:
Ziggy Stardust), a very eccentric bard. They hit it off immediately,
and became close friends. They travelled around together, having
adventures. Mick discovered that he was bisexual, and Dave was, too;
they became much, much closer friends.

Of course, all good things must come to an end. Like all of my
characters, Dave had a secret. He led a double life. On the one hand,
he was the simple bard Ziggy Stardust. On the other, he was the heir
to the White Dukedom. When his father died, David had to go home and
become Duke. He offered Mick a place at his court, but Mick is a free
spirit, and couldn't imagine staying in one place for so long, as a
court bard. So, they parted ways; Dave gave Mick a memento--the
earring that Mick wears. Mick's passed through the White Dukedom a few
times. (Note to self: Dave is modelled somewhat, personality-wise, on
Lois McMaster Bujold's Miles Vorkosigan/Naismith character. Mick =
Elli Quinn.)

Destiny:

For some time, Mick's dream has been to become the greatest rock star
in the known world. After Dave left him to become a Duke, Mick felt
like his life lacked direction, he wanted to find his destiny. He
consulted a seer, an old, wise elven woman who has the power to read
how fate, will, and necessity might work together to mold a person's
future. He was advised to seek his destiny in the human lands to the
east, where he'd find the unknown brother of his flesh and the twin of
his soul. That same day, Mick first heard of the Holy Amp of Fender
(from a fellow bard, Floyd the Pink). Mick took this, coupled with the
oracle, as an omen. He visited the College, and learned what he could
of the Holy Amp. Then, he headed east into Aldaran and Eldith, then
further into Franconia and Steinhall.

Mick meets his soul-mate:

Mick found a map to the Tomb of Fender in Mexico.  He thought that the Holy 
Amp might be buried with its creator, Fender.  He heard about a Steinhall 
expedition to Mexico, and made a deal with the Steinhall Bards.  The 
Steinhallers would finance Mick's expedition to search for the Tomb of 
Fender, and he would make notes on Mexico (believed to be the site of the 
ancient civilization from which the Steinhallers descend) and collect 
artifacts.  He took a Steinhall military ship to Mexico, where he learned 
that he'd need to get more people to go with him through the treacherous 
jungles and deserts between the site of the Steinhall outpost (Tijuana) and 
Fender's tomb.  Unfortunately, most of the people in Tijuana were either 
associated with the Expeditionary Force, or had no interest in risking 
life and limb. Mick did find two people, a Steinhall minstrel named Adolf 
and a semi-mad Grey Elf mage named Vrba. This wasn't enough for the 
dangerous journey, so Mick ended up stuck in Tijuana, playing in seedy 
bars with Adolf to support themselves without spending the expedition 
money. 

After about a month of that, Fate intervened.  About an hour before a gig, 
Adolf got into a fight with a drunk Steinhall soldier.  The soldier stabbed 
Adolf dead.  Mick came into the common room to discover that his musical 
partner had permanently left the band.  As a group of ragged travellers 
entered the bar where all this was happening, Mick swore, "Adolf, you 
pig-fucking git! Why the fuck did you get yourself killed _before_ a gig? 
Where am I going to find another guitar-player in this stinking mud-pit 
at this time of night?" One of the people who'd just come into the tavern 
came over to Mick and said that he could play, for a equal share of the 
take. Mick agreed, provided the stranger (who looked like he'd been 
slogging through the jungle naked for a week) was good enough. The 
stranger left his companions, and went upstairs with Mick. Mick gave him 
Adolf's guitar, and had him play. The fellow was very good, much better 
than Adolf had been, better than Mick. He'd do. "I'm Mick, of the Jagger 
clan," Mick introduced himself. "I'm Keith Richards," the human replied. 

The gig was the best Mick had ever played. He and Keith just seemed to 
click, as if they'd known each other and had been playing together for 
years. Mick convinced Keith and his friends to joing the expedition; they 
also found four deserters from the Steinhall Expeditionary Force to go 
along. Actually, convincing Keith wasn't very hard; when Mick mentioned the 
Holy Amp, Keith's eyes lit up, and he explained that he'd dreamed of the 
Amp. Although they didn't find the Amp at Fender's Tomb, they became very 
close friends very quickly. 

Recent adventures:

Since then, Mick and Keith and company have traveled the world, seeking the 
Holy Amp, which they finally found in the Tomb of Martek, on the other 
side of the world. However, the Amp was stolen and Keith was kidnapped 
shortly afterwards. Mick and co. went after Keith, and saved him, but left 
the Amp in the keeping of Freddie Mercury, who promised to turn it over to 
the Bard College of the Rock when he was done with it. In the process, 
Mick learned that Keith might be the reincarnation of the famous English 
Elvish bard Keef Glimmer, and that only a curse could have caused an 
Elvish soul to be reborn into a human body. Mick is confliced about this, 
since it seems unlikely that the curse can be repaired if Keith doesn't 
know about it, but OTOH it is considered to be very bad luck for a person 
to know the details of his soul's past lives. It's a very strong taboo 
among Elves, and meddling with a person's past lives is severely bad karma. 

After the England business, Mick and has friends have been doing missions 
for the River's End/Lubeck higher-ups. Mick has been going along with most 
of this, because Keef has wanted to do it. If Mick had his way, he and 
Keef and Udo would move to a more civilized area, and Make It Big. 
However, they keep getting sucked into life-threatening adventures.

GOALS

1. To seek knowledge of the Holy Amp. Legend has it lost in the human
lands somewhere. (done)

2. To find his father, who hasn't been heard from in 15 years. He was
also last seen travelling into the human lands on a journey to gather
knowledge about the humans of the East. Mick has found some sign of
his dad's passing; unfortunately, it leads Mick to believe that his da
travelled into Greece, which is just not a good place for
Elves. Anyway, he wants to find his father to ask him about this
unknown brother of his. (His mom assured him that she doesn't have any
unknown children, just Mick and Stalel.)

3. To become the Greatest Rock Star of All Time. 

4. To find out What The Deal is with Keith, preferentially without Keith 
finding out, at least before Mick can figure out whether it would be better 
for Keef to know about his soul's past or not.
