INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO GET A BALTICON 30
BSFAN WITH THE STORY
_THE STRIKE AT SHAYOL GHUL_.

     A limited number of copies of the Balticon 30
BSFAN are available from the Baltimore Science
Fiction Society.

     Before the convention, Mr. Robert Jordan
contacted me and asked me what the convention
was doing to promote literacy.  I hemmed and
hawed a little, and finally admitted that we
weren't doing anything.  At his request, we
contacted Reading is Fundamental (RIF) and
set up information and collection centers for
them.  RIF is a nationwide program that
buys books for children in bulk, distributes
them in schools, and helps teach
children to read and enjoy books.  This 
program has given many children a book of
their own when they previously could not afford
to buy one.

     In further consideration of Mr. Jordan's
request, Balticon asks for the three following
items to obtain a copy of the BSFAN:

1.  Your name and address,
2.  $1.92 in postage (six .32 stamps), and
3.  A contribution to RIF in whatever amount
    you can give.  When a group of checks has
    been collected, we will pass them on to RIF.

Please make any check or money order for the
donation made payable directly to RIF.
