These Hacks are separately available .prc files written to conform to the HackMaster protocol. See the HackMaster page on the WWW for a registry of available Hacks or for the API specs if you want to code your own. This is a powerful program, so do not treat it lightly, as a poorly written Hack can seriously mess up your Pilot. That said, the main program view is a list of all detected Hacks on your Pilot. The checkbox controls whether the Hack is active or not (all active hacks are at the top of the list). If it is visible, the question mark icon brings up an about box for the Hack. If visible, the plus icon brings up dialogs where the options, if any, of the Hack can be changed. The bottom buttons allow you to uninstall all active Hacks and to perform a SOFT RESET on your system. The reset button REALLY does what it says, and is provided to help recover from Hacks that inhibit the smooth working of the Pilot. Do NOT delete an active Hack with the Memory application. The Memory app allows you to do this, but it is a sure way to crash your Pilot. Uncheck the Hack inside HackMaster first. It is theoretically possible to delete the HackMaster program itself after installing the Hacks you need. This is generally a bad idea unless you absolutely NEED a few extra K. If you do so, the registry of active Hacks will be deleted, and you MUST hit the Reset button FIRST if you reinstall HackMaster again in order to clear out active Hacks before trying to install anything else. Although a soft reset will disable all active Hacks, HackMaster can reinstall them at startup if you like. A dialog box will be presented with that option. Do not reinstall Hacks if the soft reset was the result of a crash due to a bad Hack or a corrupted HackMaster database. When your Pilot is reset, the system traps are restored to their ROM values, disabling all installed extensions. HackMaster keeps a database of the extensions you installed, and can reinstall them in the same order in this situation, should you choose. You should cancel this action if you feel that a system Hack was the cause of the system crash/reset in the first place. Canceling this action will erase HackMaster's list of installed extensions.|~ / JBdIROptionsAbout HackMaster$UHackMaster ExtensionsWould you like to reinstall your formerly active collection of system Hacks?ReinstallCancel
