To whom it may concern:

Prentice Hall Professional Technical Reference User Group Program helps volunteer, not-for profit user groups provide their members with training and information about cutting edge technology. Any user group of ten or more members that is a volunteer, not-for-profit-organization and has a web site to share information with its members is invited to join the PHPTR User Group Program. We have the Unix/Linux/Solaris/HP-UX/ User Group Resource Center, the Java Technology User Group Resource Center, and coming soon the Oracle User Groups Resource Center. Contact UserGroups at prenhall.com and include the following information:

Name of your user group
Snail mail address of your group
Technology focus of your user group
Number of members of your user group
Your user group’s web site URL
Your user group’s email address and contact information
Dates and Time of your regularly scheduled monthly meeting

Visit PHPTR at www.phptr.com and select User Groups, then click on The Unix/Linux/Solaris/HP-UX/ User Group Resource Center, the password is linux and/or The Java Technology User Group Resource Center, and its password is java.

Prentice Hall Professional Technical Reference (www.phptr.com) recently updated the site and would like feedback from your members. How could the user group area be improved to be more useful for you? You can get discounts on PHPTR products at the PHPTR user group online store. You can place your site on the Linux User Group Network Page. And there is a monthly e-newsletter, which you can sign up for at The Unix/Linux/Solaris/HP-UX/ User Group Resource Center, or the Java Technology User Group Resource Center.

Please send all responses to UserGroups at prenhall.com.

PHPTR is looking for technical reviews for upcoming products and is looking for individual contact information for those who would like to become a technical reviewer.

Beginning in September, PHPTR will be offering a book or training course that you can offer as a door prize at your meeting. Please contact PHPTR at UserGroups at prenhall.com to suggest a book for that purpose.

Sincerely,
