Ok LUGers,
Some late updates:
Ubuntu and all the variants have a LTS version of 16.04.6 now
out at Distrowatch.
Let me know if you want any of these distributions.

Mageia-7-beta2-Live-Plasma-x86_64.iso cme out and I have it on a
USB device.

Easy OS 4.05 is on a USB Flash Drive.

I have to investigate EasyOS a bit more closely to find out how
updates are
done. If it is like Qubes they will have to be done from terminal.
or maybe updates
will be done by downloading a later image file. It dose not seem to
clear to me.
<https://www.easyos.org/>
The uncompressed image file is about 641 Megabytes.

Finally Debian disk 1 9.8 is on a DVD.

I think you should have a look at Easy OS on Sunday and it can
be used
as a rescue disk it seems.
LUGer
SF-LUG meets every first Sunday from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M.
and every third Monday from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M.
at the Cafe Enchante, 26th and Geary Boulevard.

These meetings are usually lightly attended with a high for
the
year so far of 7 members. If you have a problem come along
and maybe we can help but if not we can usually find someone
who can.

Distributions added to the SF-LUG library:

EasyOS as easy-1.0.8-amd64.img.gz which is a USB image.
This is not a standard Linux install but creates a single folder
on disk. But not only that it can run everything in Easy
Containers.

If after you read about and only have a computer that will
only boot from cd let me know and I wil burn the iso file to a CD.

If you want a copy to USB bring your own media; for a USB
boot, an 8-32 GiB USB drive. For transportation home
to work on the boot disk you can use <500 MiB of
space on media.

Read about Easy OS at:

debian-9.8.0-amd64-DVD-1.iso which has been check-summed.

and likely will be on a disk by the time I get to the meeting

next Sunday.

pclinuxos-kde5-darkstar-2019.02.iso

Well Darkstar is a community release and not the main
line. But 2019.02 is the current version which I get to
by taking all the updates,
