A drawback to external keyboards is that they're devilishly difficult to
balance along with the laptop computer on one's lap. (The cup of coffee
, of course, must then be held in one's _third_ hand. ;-> )

Well you did not mention that you were using the Laptop as a
laptop!
I use my notebooks as main computer up on an easel. This was
intended
to spare the notebook's keyboard from my sticky, greasy, fumbling
fingers.
I saved using the notebook's keyboard for meetings so that I
would get
maximum life out of it.
I used to disassemble my Amiga keyboards which were not i
interchangeable with other keyboards of that distant time, cleaning
each
contact to keep them working. Proprietary hardware was never
cheap except as originally built.

You might find a manual online to help you remove and clean your
keyboard
otherwise remove and replace your model's kb with a new clean
non-sticky
keyboard. I have done that too but it was some time back when I had
a lot
more energy.

Good luck with that sticky "H" key.
