It's nice to hear about dd_rescue. I used to use it for such
tasks with great success.<br>

Another thought is to spin the drive at great speeds along the
axis of the spindle and then apply an instant braking system and
hope that the spindle breaks free an original idea here on the
SF-LUG mailing list.<br>
