<br>Position Type; Full-time regular employee with full benefits;<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>.       Handle departmental technical projects to completion<br>.       Provide day-to-day support for troubleshooting applications as<br>
needed<br>.       Install OS for UNIX/Linux and Windows<br>.       Provide off hours support on a rotational basis<br>.       Implement software upgrades.<br>.       Provide hardware/software support to staff<br>.       Respond to monitoring alerts and carry out troubleshooting as needed<br>
<br>Requirements:<br>.       Strong Linux background ( Knowledge of Red Hat and Gentoo Linux)and<br>a  good understanding of Windows OS with an ability to use most<br>     Linux/Windows commands/utilities<br>.       Familiarity with system administration tools and processes such as<br>
     booting/shutting down a machine, adding or removing user accounts,<br>     using backup programs and fsck, and maintaining system database files<br>    (groups, hosts, aliases)<br>.       Apache administration, Tomcat / Jboss,<br>
.       Shell and Perl scripting<br>.       Troubleshooting of OS and application problems.<br>.       Troubleshooting of networking problems (from an OS level)<br>.       Linux Volume Management experience<br>.       Ability to write system documentation and detailed technical and/or<br>
     functional specifications<br>.       Strong troubleshooting, decision-making and problem-solving skills .<br><br>.       Hands-on experience monitoring, building and troubleshooting<br>     Unix/WindowsOperating Systems.<br>
.       Familiarity with Networking/Security technologies (Ethernet, routers,<br>     switches, firewalls, VPN).<br>.       Experience with internet technologies (Apache, DNS, TCP/IP).<br>.       Experience with monitoring tools<br>
.       SAN experience a plus<br>.       Familiarity with PostgreSQL and MySQL Databases<br><br>Working Knowledge Of:<br>.       RPM package building<br>.       Red Hat Kickstart experience<br>.       CVS and/or Subversion<br>
.       Cfengine<br>.       Knowledge of Network services i.e DHCP, DNS (BIND), Samba<br>.       Postfix/Sendmail experience<br>.       SpamAssassin and/or Postini<br>.       Xen or VMware experience<br>.       Network Appliance and/or EMC SAN/NAS devices<br>
<br>Mandatory Requirements:<br>.       Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills<br>.       Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others<br>     in a team environment<br>.       5 years experience with Linux/Windows administration.<br>
