"Only" a browser? I can assure you it has much more ... OS, kernel, ...
Anyway, so ... login, ... at what, is this browser that's insisting
upon such or some GUI login,
or basic text login, e.g. from virtual terminal at a login: prompt or the like?
Anyway, if either of the latter two, if you can't find out what the
password is, can reset it.
Standard "recover" (reset) root password methods, e.g. boot from
alternative media,
mount root filesystem, set root password - and any additional
passwords you want to change.
In some cases, depending upon boot loader and configuration, one might
be able to pass
parameters to kernel and gain access to reset password(s) that way, e.g.:
init=/bin/sh
But with that, as with booting from alternative media, will need to
mount the root
filesystem rw first (it may only be ro at that point, or one may need
further initialization
steps to get it to being mounted and mounted rw).
