[sf-lug] Chromebook Success

Peter Mui from the local fix-it clinic gave me several  chromebooks yesterday.  They were Dell 11” 3180 models with 4gb of ram and a 16gb ssd.  Since they are end of life, we decided to put Linux in them.  To make a long story short, I was able to successfully remove chromeos and replace it with Zorin version 16 (an older version).  It went very smooth and I documented all steps necessary.  I used Zorin as my other usb sticks didnt seem to like the chromebook.  I am very pleased with myself and am rooting my own horn.
