East Bay Linux Installfests
-------------------------------------------------------------
1. John S posted a request for volunteers at the Berkeley Unified School
District's (BUSD's) Family Engagement Event on August 9th -- held on the
following Saturday after the August meeting -- for Converting Chromebooks
to Linux, see [2] and [3].
2. As previously posted w/in May 29th's SF-LUG Mtg notice[4], the Alameda
Free Library will be hosting a Linux installfest on August 30th; exactly
three wks after the BUSD's Converting Chromebooks to Linux event.
The [conspire] mailing-list posting 'Save the Date: Alameda Linux
Installfest' at [5] elaborates upon the Alameda Free Library's Linux
installfest.
-------------------------------------------------------------
** The next major release of the next stable version of Debian GNU/Linux
v13, codenamed 'trixie', is estimated to be August 9th. See further
details of this major distro's release in the 'trixie release planning'
posting
of [6].
Yep, that's the exact same day as BUSD's Family Engagement Event listed
above.
