[sf-lug] Unusual printer problem...

As I endeavor to make Linux my daily driver, because I refuse to spend $30
or $40 a month or jury rig an OS fix of some sort, I've found an unusual
problem with the current version (24.04) that I'm using. For the last year
plus, I've been using Ubuntu 22.04 and it has worked out well. As everyone
has probably heard by now Windows 10 is no longer supported (at least the
one I own) as of about October I believe. The problem that I have run into
is unlike 22.04, 24.04 won't print a simple typewritten page. I tried
Gedit, the basic Text editor and Libre Office. I tried multiple downloads,
multiple flash drives, multiple SSD's and multiple re-installs and the same
thing kept happening. The printer test page would print out but nothing
else. Which seems odd. I checked the Ubuntu posts and nothing seemed to
connect to my issue. Also, I tried a different distro and it worked fine
unlike Ubuntu. Hmm... ? Unfortunately, I didn't think of using a
different distro until this afternoon after burning most of my weekend...
It's a good thing that it's a fun hobby... Anyone else out there using
24.04 and running into the same issue?
