-------------------------------------------------------------

San Francisco Linux Users' Group's next meeting is this upcoming Sunday,
July 6th, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM PDT.
Yes, it certainly is on the upcoming Fourth of July Independence Day Weekend.

Quoting the still current SF-LUG webpage www.sf-lug.org
(current as of this writing) :

Browser: one will need sufficiently recent version of, e.g.
Chromium, Chrome, or possibly Firefox - in any case one that well
supports WebRTC.

OTOH, Rick Moen <rick at linuxmafia.com> still has his highly relevant
comments available for review within his June 2024 posting[1] on the
actual Jitsi Meet "requirements".

If any of you reading this possibly wish to start meeting in-person again
(and are physically able to do so) at SF's Cafe Enchante, please feel
free to respond on this mailing-list and inform others similarly
interested before this Sunday's meeting :-)

East Bay Installfests
========================
1. John S posted a request for volunteers at the Berkeley Unified
School District's (BUSD's) Family Engagement Event on August 9th for
Converting Chromebooks to Linux, see [2] and [3].

2. As previously posted w/in last month's SF-LUG Mtg notice[4], the
Alameda Free Library will be hosting a Linux installfest on August
30th; exactly three wks after the BUSD's Converting Chromebooks to
Linux event.
The [conspire] posting 'Save the Date: Alameda Linux Installfest' at
[5] elaborates upon the Alameda Free Library's Linux installfest.

of the last pair of issues of Linux Magazine are here:

Happy Independence Day and Independence Day Weekend! :-)
