~1pm now and got to the Jit.si Meet late.
John St and Ken were already online, but had some sound issues on the
Linux Mint XFCE system am still using.
Am keenly interested in how things worked out and are working out on
John's new Cx1500 asus chromebook.

Whatever distro used on that Cx1500 might be a good candidate to replace
Linux Mint on this 8 GB RAM, 500GB spinning-platter HD, 64bit desktop PC
-- possibly Lubuntu 24.04.1 LTS (Noble Numbat) with LXQt Version: 1.4.0 ??
Primary purpose of this desktop PC is to sufficiently mimic MS Windows v7
or v10 for office/productivity tasks while still being as lightweight as
possible for a typical Windows user.
Don't wish to use ZorinOS, K/Ubuntu, LMDE (Linux Mint Debian Edition),
Debian Stable (currently 'Bookworm'), MX Linux, or various Windows Manager
variants of Debian.

For another higher spec Lenovo Thinkpad X13 netbook that also brought
along, upgraded its internal NVMe drive from 500GB to 1.0 TB.
Successfully installed on it the minimalistic and more advanced,
Ubuntu-based Bodhi Linux with the Moksha desktop environment -- Rick M
mentioned this previously on the SF-LUG list.
The intended purpose of the netbook is to run virt-manager guest OS's
(using a gigantic 500GB+ /var partition) as well as to run various late
20th Century arcade-type games using DOSBOX-X and DOSBOX-Staging.
