   2023-04-18 	NEW • Distribution Release: deepin 20.9
  	The deepin distribution has been updated to version 20.9. This is
largely a bug-fix release from the project that develops a desktop
Linux distribution based on the latest stable Debian and featuring the
Deepin Desktop Environment (DDE)
   <https://www.deepin.org/en/deepin-20-9-is-officially-released/>
   I have no a notion of what is happening at startup, copying from the
package
   list I see:
    • systemd 250.2.2-4                   • systemd 250.2.2-4
   •  systemd-sysv 250.2.1-4          •   systemd 250.2.2-4
   •  systemd-sysv 250.2.1-4           •  systemd-timesyncd 250.2.2-4
   •  sysvinit-utils 2.93-8              •  sysv-rc 2.93-8
   •  systemd-timesyncd 250.2.2-4       •  sysvinit-utils 2.93-8
   •  sysv-rc 2.93-8                     •  systemd-sysv 250.2.1-4
   •  systemd-timesyncd 250.2.2-4       •  sysvinit-utils 2.93-8
   •  sysv-rc 2.93-8
        Maybe they offer a choice at some point of the new or the tried
   and true. Basically this is a Linux for the people speaking Asian
   languages especially Chinese.

        2023-04-18 	NEW • Distribution Release: Fedora 38
  	The Fedora team have announced the release of Fedora 38.
The new release offers the GNOME 44 desktop in the project's
Workstation edition. The distribution now features shorter t
imeout delays when services shutdown, which makes shutting down
or restarting the system faster. The DNF5 package manager as been
introduced as a technology preview and users are invited to try
it out and report on their experiences. Being out of Red Hat I
expect it uses systemd but it has versions that are not x-86.

                      ==================================

	I meant to have this out yesterday but two and a half hours on
dental "couch" waiting for various tests to be carried out left me
as unconscious as I wanted to be while waiting.
